I am thrilled with the sound quality of these headphones. So far I have bought different headphones, and Chinese, and branded original headphones, but such clear sound was not with any of them) I use the headphones for hours, no load on the ears is not. Of all the headphones I have used, these are the best for me. I am a musician by profession and my area of expertise is classical, strings and violin concerts. I bought the Beyerdynamic DT990 PRO headphones because of their high sound quality and reliability. I have been using them for almost five years and so far they have not broken or deteriorated. The sound is so perfect you can hear every instrument in the orchestra. The headphones are made pretty sturdy out of hard plastic and metal and are not easy to break. I can put them in any bag or backpack and not worry about them breaking. Perfect studio headphones.
